With the advent of healthcare technology advancement, patients could be able to receive simplified yet promising healthcare services, while the healthcare burden could be much alleviated. Local healthcare technology start-up, DeepHealth, has invented a digital health tool, namely HealthCap, for blood pressure monitoring, in the hope of facilitating the development of blood pressure telemonitoring.
HealthCap, was developed with a wish to simplify the tedious health data record process, with the use of a mobile application. The operation of the APP sticks to the simple principle: taking picture of the blood pressure monitors’ screens with smartphone camera. Data recorded would be seamlessly synchronized to the HealthCap platform, where not only individuals can access at any time, but also the professionals required to be informed such as healthcare and social workers. In a long run, it helps accelerate the adoption of telemonitoring as well as alleviate healthcare burden especially yielded by chronic diseases.
